I storyboarded, produced, and filmed this conceptual podcast trailer, in response to a brief to create an episode trailer for the Radio New Zealand series 'Black Sheep'.
What is this?
Double Life: Judge Frederick Maning is a promotional trailer. Frederick was the author of "Old New Zealand" who 'lived in harmony as part of Māori society'. However, personal writings have been unearthed that suggest a racist side to the Irish settler.
The typography is small to avoid detracting from the visuals. Slow fades and overlapping images reinforce the metaphor of duality and Frederick's double identities.
