Tuna in Your Area

Tuna in Your Area is an eco-trail app that aims to motivate people to get active while exploring and learning about Wellington’s hidden streams. It sets challenges and creates social moments to share. Discover a new side of Pōneke by finding eel markers in places of significance along awa. 

The campaign is named for tuna kuwharuwharu (long-finned eels), who must still migrate along these culverted waterways to reach the ocean.

This was a conceptual project, and not made in official capacity with Wellington City Council or the Department of Conservation!
